No filter can promise to block everything. Noor Shield is a real barrier, but some content will always get through any filter. Please keep talking with your family and checking in, and don't rely on software alone.
Who we are
Noor Shield is made by the team behind Diin Islaam. "We" and "us" in these terms means that team. You can reach us at fesbackups@gmail.com.
Your licence to use Noor Shield
- Free trial: you can use Noor Shield fully for 29 days from the first time it runs on a PC. The trial is for one PC and can't be restarted by reinstalling.
- Product key: after the trial, a product key keeps protection on. One product key works on one PC. If you reinstall Windows or Noor Shield on that same PC, the same key works again. To protect a second PC you need a second key.
- Family key: works the same way on up to five devices in your household. Each device it's activated on uses one of its five places.
- Price: a key is a one-time purchase (US$29 for one device, US$59 for a family key at the time of writing; the price shown when you buy is the one that applies). There's no subscription, and updates are included.
- You may not sell, share, publish, or give away product keys, except to hand a key to the person whose PC it will protect.
- You may not copy, change, take apart, or try to get around Noor Shield's code, its product-key check, its free-trial limit, or its parent password.
- The Noor Shield software, name, and logo belong to us. Buying a key gives you the right to use the app; it doesn't transfer ownership of it.
Your responsibilities
- Only install Noor Shield on a PC you own or are responsible for, like your own PC or your child's. Don't use it to watch or control another adult without their knowledge.
- Keep your parent password and recovery key safe. We never see them, so we can't reset a forgotten password for you. Only the recovery key can.
- If you create a family account for the remote dashboard, keep its password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Follow the laws where you live when you use the app.
Updates
Noor Shield checks for new versions every few hours, downloads them in the background, and asks before installing one. Updates fix problems and improve protection. We may change, add, or remove features over time. We'll try to keep the things families rely on working.
The remote dashboard
The remote dashboard is optional. It depends on internet services (Google Firebase) that we don't control, so we can't promise it will always be available. Commands reach a PC only while it's switched on and online. What the dashboard stores is described in our Privacy Policy.
When a key or account can be cancelled
We may cancel a product key that was refunded, bought with a payment that was later reversed, or shared or sold in breach of these terms. A cancelled key can't be activated again. We may also close a family account that is used to abuse our services. If we cancel something by mistake, contact us and we'll fix it.
No guarantee
Noor Shield is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise that it will block every unwanted site, work on every PC, or never have bugs. Block lists come partly from outside sources and can contain mistakes in both directions: a harmless site may be blocked, or a harmful one missed.
Limit on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, or harm from content the filter didn't block. If we are found responsible for something, the most we will owe is what you paid for your product key. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that can't be taken away.
Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, we'll describe it here. Continuing to use Noor Shield after a change means you accept the new terms.
